PUBLIC NOTICE

 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors of Buffalo Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, will hold two public hearings on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. located at the Buffalo Township Municipal Building, 400 Buffalo Center Lane, Washington, PA 15301.

The purpose of the first hearing is as follows: To present the amendment to the Buffalo Township Zoning Ordinance providing definitions related to Solar Energy Systems, and regulations as to Accessory Solar Energy Systems, Ground Mounted Accessory Solar Systems and Principal Solar Energy Systems.

SOLAR ENERGY ORDINANCE UPDATED 2026

The purpose of the second hearing is as follows: To present the amendment to the Buffalo Township Zoning Ordinance providing definitions, standards and regulations related to Data Centers as to the requirements of different zoning areas.

DATA CENTER ORDINANCE UPDATED 2026

Interested persons may appear at the aforementioned hearing to offer testimony in favor of or in opposition of the Solar Energy Ordinance and Data Center Ordinance.  Copies of the Ordinances may be examined by any citizen by requesting through email (supervisors@buffalotwp.com), in writing directed to the Township Manager of Buffalo Township, by personally viewing during regular business hours at the Buffalo Township Municipal Building, the Law Library in the Washington County Courthouse, Pennsylvania and the Observer Reporter, each day until adoption.

The Board of Supervisors will conduct their regular Board of Supervisors meeting of March 4, 2026 at the closure of the public hearings wherein they are going to adopt said Ordinances.
