7-YEAR AG SECURITY AREA REVIEW
LEGAL NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors of Buffalo Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, will conduct a review of the Agricultural Security Area (ASA) within Buffalo Township pursuant to the Agricultural Security Law, Act 43 of 1981 starting on May 20, 2024. The aforementioned ASA description is currently on file and available for public inspection at the Buffalo Township Municipal Building, 400 Buffalo Center Lane, Washington, PA 15301 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Any affected landowners who own land within, adjacent to, or near the area proposed to be continued in the Agricultural Security Area may propose changes to the Agricultural Area within 30 days of the date this Notice is published. Such proposed changes must be submitted to the Buffalo Township Supervisors and the Township Planning Commission at the Buffalo Township Municipal Office on or before June 21, 2024. Also, proposed changes may be submitted to the Washington County Planning Commission at 100 West Beau Street Suite 701, Washington, PA 15301 on or before June 21, 2024. Upon expiration of the aforementioned 30-day period, the existing Agricultural Security Area and any proposed changes will be submitted to the Buffalo Township Planning Commission for review and recommendation. Thereafter, a public meeting will be held by the Buffalo Township Supervisors to consider the continuation/proposed modifications and recommendations of the aforesaid Planning Commissions. A copy of this Notice is posted on the Township’s Website, the Buffalo Township Alert System and at the Buffalo Township Municipal Building.
