PUBLIC NOTICE FROM WASHINGTON COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION

Preserving Washington County’s Farmland for the Future
The Washington County Agricultural Land Preservation Board
invites farm owners to attend a public informational seminar at the
Washington County Conservation District office on September 23
at 5:30 p.m. to learn about the county’s farmland preservation
program. The seminar will provide a brief overview of the program
and offer an opportunity for participants to ask questions and
discuss issues pertaining to farm preservation.

Interested participants should register by noon on September 23
to attend the seminar by calling the Washington County Planning
Commission at 724-228-6811.

This event is focused on gathering farmer interest and gaining
new applicants interested in permanently preserving their farm.
Applying to the program is voluntary. The application deadline is
September 30 of each year.
