PUBLIC HEARING – DEC. 3, 2025
PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors of Buffalo Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. located at the Buffalo Township Municipal Building, 400 Buffalo Center Lane, Washington, PA 15301.
The purpose of this hearing is as follows. To present amended Buffalo Township Zoning Ordinance. The proposed Ordinance is to provide definitions related to Solar Energy Systems, and regulations as to Accessory Solar Energy Systems, Ground Mounted Accessory Solar Systems and Principal Solar Energy Systems.
The purpose of this hearing is as follows. To present regulations for Data Centers as a proposed amendment to the Buffalo Township Zoning Ordinance. The proposed Ordinance is to provide definitions and standards related to Data Centers and add regulations as to the requirements of different zoning areas.
The purpose of this hearing is as follows. To present regulations for Battery Energy Storage Systems as a proposed amendment to the Buffalo Township Zoning Ordinance. The proposed Ordinance is to provide definitions and to regulate Utility-Scale Battery Energy Storage Systems
Interested persons may appear at the aforementioned hearing to offer testimony in favor of or in opposition of the Solar Energy Ordinance, Data Center Ordinance and Battery Energy Storage Systems Ordinance. Pertinent records and the proposed Ordinances may be inspected prior to the hearing at the Buffalo Township Municipal Building. Copies of the Ordinances may be viewed at the Buffalo Township Building, the Observer Reporter and the Washington County Law Library.
The Board of Supervisors will conduct their public meeting of December 3, 2025 at the closure of the public hearing.
